Also a little note. If you move forward and backward you can interrupt your autoshot. I do that when I right click on a mob, but the pet attack button did not register,
just slightly moving fwd until the pet gets to the mob.--If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

FFXI: Deleted 8-19-07 RIPThank you very much, that was my problem.
Being able to sent the Pet first was exactly what I wanted to do, but couldn't because of the auto shot. -Obox-Ob, Warlock

It sound like you're right-clicking on the mobsto target. Right-click turns your attack on. Left-click from now on. Then you won't start attacking until you hit the button for auto-shot.
And remember to send your pet in before you start shooting. That way he will have aggro and you can stay at range. (This assumes you've hit level 10 and have a pet now.) I used to get beat up quite a bit before I realised this.-No, there will not be a Tauren Marine hero class. While I have several other characters, this is my first Hunter. This is probably a silly question, but I have tried a bunch of things and all my solutions are cumbersome.
How the h do you control auto shot?
I really like auto shot,
but I would like to control when it starts.
Whenever I target a MOB, it starts shooting. While sometime this is good, it often isn't. So how can you set it so that it only start shooting AFTER you have deliberately taken your first shot? Is there a command I could put in a macro?
Thanks
