Have PvE Traps Changed?

I was slow to notice it at first. It started happening after the most recent patch. I chalked it up to bad luck or just freak mishaps. However, more and more i began to notice that my traps aren't reliable anymore.
My spec has not changed. Its almost impossible for me not to notice the nosedive trap performance has taken recently.
Before the patch, I'd say i got maybe 1/10 flat out resists and 2/10 early breaks. That number has definitely increased. Its at a point where I'm very apprehensive about trapping because I simply don't know if the trap will work or not, or how long it will hold if it does work.
I've had traps resisted much more often recently, 3-5 times out of 10 I'd guess. Of the traps that DO work, it seems about a third of those break within 10 seconds. I mostly run heroics and karazhan with my hunter but I've noticed the resists while farming level 70 mobs as well.
Last kara run i had an Attumen trash mob (not the horses) resist TWO consecutive traps, which is unheard of in my experience. A couple weeks back, I had a hunter friend run an alt through BRD and I was astonished to see level 50ish mobs resisting traps from a 70 hunter with 40+ points into survival.
Has anyone else noticed anything similar with traps? I waited awhile until I was more certan but something definitely seems amiss. I know there was a change to PvP CC durations in the last patch but I didnt think it applied to PvE (Hunter)
